Adults were not raised with the concept of skin cancer. They might have even heard myths like black skin don’t burn or believed tanning is cool. The world in which adult’s grew up is not the same anymore. Our gas emissions are causing the ozone layer to weaken, now we are increasingly exposed to the sun’s UV rays.
Children will be the most affected by the increasing UV rays and will be most likely to suffer from skin cancer in the future.
With Spot The Chameleon, parents will prepare their children for the future and become experts on the topic. Children will be more aware of the sun’s danger and become more observant, being able to recognise early stages of skin cancer regardless of the colour of their skin.
